Creamy Tomato-Lentil Pasta

Ingredients
- 8 oz whole wheat pasta
- 1/2 cup red lentils, rinsed
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tbsp nutritional yeast (optional)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Water as needed
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions.
- In a separate pot, sauté garlic in water for 1 minute.
- Add lentils and crushed tomatoes. Simmer for 15–20 minutes until lentils are soft. Add water as needed.
- Stir in nutritional yeast, salt, pepper, and cooked pasta.
