Ingredients
- 1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
- 1/4 cup finely diced onion
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mash the black beans with a fork, leaving some texture.
- Add all other ingredients and stir to combine well. Let sit for 5 to 10 minutes to firm up.
- Form into 4 patties.
- Grill: Place patties over medium heat for about 5 minutes per side.
- Oven: Bake at 375°F (190°C) on parchment for 25 to 30 minutes, flipping halfway.
