Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked lentils
- 1/4 cup tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 2 tbsp apple cider or rice vinegar
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- Pinch of salt
- Tortillas or lettuce leaves (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine lentils, tomato sauce, maple syrup, vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and salt. Simmer until thickened.
- In a bowl, toss cabbage, vinegar, maple syrup, and salt. Chill until ready to serve.
- Serve BBQ lentils and slaw in tortillas or lettuce wraps. Add hot sauce or avocado if desired.
